For the past number of years, Red Bull’s presence at Oxegen has been synonymous with state of the art structures, innovative line-ups and eclectic music mixes and this year is no different. 2011 will see the introduction of Red Bull Electric Ballroom.
A world premier for Red Bull and Oxegen, Red Bull Electric Ballroom will transform the existing structure of the event centre into a grand art-deco style ballroom. Inside and out, the dressing and theming of the entire venue has been designed to create the Electric Ballroom experience – complete with grand entrance, chandeliers, hanging prints and giant portraits all reminiscent of the 1940s ballroom era.
No ballroom is complete without a decadent selection of drinks and the Red Bull Cocktail Bar will be mixing the finest of cocktails to get the ballroom swinging.
Don a red Fedora, Trilby or Boa on Fancy Dress Friday to get into the true spirit of the Electric Ballroom. Surprises and prize giveaways will be announced over the coming weeks but dust off your tux and get your debs dress out of the wardrobe in the meantime!
Over the last ten years, Red Bull has been a key feature at an array of global gatherings including Oxegen, Sonar, Notting Hill Carnival, Movement – the Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Splash!, Pygmalion and Spring and continues to showcase cutting edge music from all around the world and gives music lovers a glimpse of the Red Bull music vibe.
Oxegen has always been synonymous with the biggest names in dance music, having hosted icons such as LCD Soundsystem, Felix Da Housecat, 2 Many Djs, DJ Shadow and Deadmau5 down the years. Now, The Red Bull Electric Ballroom will bring fans the most exciting and diverse line-up yet seen at Oxegen.
