- About this Image
- Despite a heart-stopping moment near the top of the course in Val d’Isère, Lindsey Vonn won the downhill race and the Super-Combined later in the weekend. The results took her to 36 World Cup wins, more than any other US skier before, and meant she is once again leading the overall World Cup rankings. “I love Val d'Isère, I've always had a good feeling here. It's always great to have a weekend like this, especially before Christmas,” Vonn said. “It gives me a lot of confidence going into the New Year. I'm really psyched to have the red bib back. It means a lot.”
