At Red Bull Herederas, a surfing event set up by Sofia Mulanovich to find her young successor (or ‘heredera’ in Spanish) from Peru’s best young female talents, it was Miluska Tello who took top prize in the waves at Huanchaco beach in Trujillo. “For me, all of you are my ‘herederas’, and champions,” said Sofia to the competitors. “All of you surf amazingly and are very motivated to improve. All of you won something today, so congratulations.”
