On June 3rd 2005, Red Bull stepped in and took over the general management of the already existing soccer club SV Austria Salzburg.
FC Red Bull Salzburg is an Austrian football club from Wals-Siezenheim in the Salzburg region. The club plays in Austria’s highest football division, the Bundesliga, and contests its' home matches at the Red Bull Arena in Siezenheim.

Red Bull Salzburg is very engaged in developing its' own youth players. Building a soccer academy is already in progress. Currently 13 youth teams (under 7 - Juniors team) are practising soccer supported by professional coaches. Partnerships with several schools make it possible to combine training schedules with school education.
